North Carolina Marthoma Sunday School is affiliated with Marthoma Sunday School Samajam of Diocese of North America and Europe. We currently have over 30 students in Sunday School from  Nursery- 11th grade. We have dedicated teachers both full time & part time to teach Sunday school.

Devotion and classes: The Sunday School starts with a general session from 8.45 am - 9.15 am followed by classes from 9.20 am - 10am. The general session includes a worship time consisting of prayer, songs, the offertory and a presentation based on a Bible passage by one of the teachers.

Curriculum for Sunday School : The Diocesan curriculum and Marthoma Foundation lessons are followed for the entire Sunday School academic year. The curriculum lessons consist of lessons based on Bible passages, appropriate to each Grade level. The Foundation books teach students about the history, organizational structure and other aspects of the Marthoma Church.  All students from Nursery through 10th grade participate in Half Yearly and final examinations. Final examinations for students from 5th to 10th grades are set by the Diocese.

Sunday school Competition:

Sunday School Competitions are held annually where the students participate in Singing, Story Telling, Elocution, and Bible Reading according to their grade levels. External judges are brought in to judge the different categories.

 

Vacation Bible School (VBS):

VBS is held annually over Summer. It is a fun, exciting 3-4 day event and was  held this year from July 21-23, 2017 at North Carolina Marthoma Church for children ages 3yr- 12 yr old. The 2017 VBS theme was HERO CENTRAL -Discover your strength in God.

 In addition, there are several other programs such as Easter celebration and Egg hunt, Painting competition, Parish Day, Bible quiz competition, participate in Diocese Exam, Sunday School Anniversary, annual summer Child Evangelism Fellowship event, teachers and student Dedication Service, Onam, Harvest Fest, participate in Community Outreach events, Regional One Day Sunday School Retreat, celebrate World Sunday School Day  and Christmas Carol program.
